Coral Ocean Refit - Inside Ahoy Club’s €35M Transformation Of A Yachting Icon
Coral Ocean Refit - How Ahoy Club Re-imagined a Yachting Icon for Today’s Charter Guest
Design partnership that blends legacy and now
To deliver on the vision, Ahoy Club partnered with H2 Yacht Design. The brief was ambitious - gut and rebuild two and a half levels on the upper deck, add roughly 150GT of volume, and craft interiors that feel fresh and contemporary while keeping the lines and presence that made Coral Ocean famous.
End-to-end project management you can feel onboard
This was a complex operation with many moving parts - shipyard selection, subcontractor coordination, and a demanding timeline. Led by build captain Will Kaye, Ahoy Club’s team orchestrated more than 100 contractors to keep quality high and milestones on track. That level of oversight shows up in the details guests notice most - from how seamlessly spaces connect to how smoothly the crew can deliver service.
Upgrades that matter at sea
- Fresh exterior look - the former yellow hull gave way to a crisp white finish that modernizes the profile immediately.
- Storage and service flow - newly integrated cabinetry and dedicated workstations were added with intention, boosting crew efficiency without eating into guest areas.
- Crew comfort - improved crew accommodations support great service around the clock, which is the backbone of a flawless charter.
Why this refit stands out
Plenty of refits refresh fabrics and fixtures. Coral Ocean’s goes deeper - re-engineering volumes, circulation, and back-of-house to make every day onboard feel effortless. It’s the combination of design ambition, meticulous management, and service-first thinking that sets this project apart.Related Articles
